A five-a-side football league designed to improve men’s fitness and wellbeing is set to expand after lockdown ends.
Fit Football, which launched at PlayFootball in Ingol in 2018, is now set to open at the Lancashire FA’s County Ground in Leyland.
The league, which was created by Prestonians Paul Mountford and Jon Atkinson, has gained 80 members since it started.
It was created to be an inclusive way to play football, with all ages, abilities and sizes invited to join.
The organisers say it’s a great way for people to lose weight and get fit while improving their mental health.
Paul said: “With lockdown we have received a high volume of enquiries due to people being unable to exercise and becoming increasingly anxious.
“By opening our doors at the home of the Lancashire FA in March we hope to help more members improve their overall fitness and wellbeing.”
