Police attended more than 100 Covid-19 breaches in Preston and Lancashire over the weekend

Lancashire Police are reminding people about the need to stay at home to keep themselves and others safe.

Over the weekend, there were a number of fines issued for parties, unnecessary journeys and other Covid-19 breaches.

The police attended over 100 incidents and completed numerous proactive checks.

DCC Terry Woods tweeted to highlight the importance of staying local for exercise, and staying home as much as possible.

He also thanked the people that obeyed the rules, as it makes the lives easier of not only the emergency service workers, but the NHS frontline who are working tirelessly to keep people safe during the pandemic.
