Preston Community Hub’s volunteers are in the process of collecting gifts for children in the St Matthews and Fishwick area of Preston.

Currently around 120 families are served a week by the foodbank which is held on Tuesday and Thursdays between 1-3pm.

The events of this year have been devastating for many, especially families who need the foodbank and Christmas is set to be very different this year.

Proud Preston. This, and many stories like it, show how the people of Preston are doing great things. There’s much to celebrate and be proud of about our city. We want to reflect this on Blog Preston, we appreciate it can often feel very doom and gloom. We have to report the rough along with the smooth, it’s not all rainbows and unicorns. But we’ve set up the Proud Preston section to showcase all the charitable, kind, uplifting and great things about our city and the people who live here. #ProudPreston is alive and well, despite the challenging times we all face.
