Storm Francis is expected to bring winds of up to 60 mph to 70 mph at its strongest, before clearing to the east by midday tomorrow (August 26).
Whilst this isn’t the strongest storm the UK has experienced, the wind speeds are considered unusual for August.
Experts are also warning that heavy rainfall may cause disruption to travel and outdoor activities, with people being warned to plan ahead for such eventualities.
