Smokin V’s Real Barbecue is set to open in Preston city centre after a year’s successful trading from Ships and Giggles.
The enterprise is owned by brothers Dave and Dan Valentine, who started out serving barbecue food at events and festivals.
Now the Valentines have revealed they’re set to open their own restaurant at 49 Guildhall Street, formerly The Cocktail Factory.

While no opening date has been announced, Dave and Dan are planning a larger menu plus the addition of signature cocktails and beers when the new venue launches.

The brothers said: “It’s mad to think we’ve been closed for four months because of lockdown, but it gave us chance to really fine comb the business and see what was working and what we wanted to change.
“We will be focusing more on the barbecue menu with some big additions. We’ll be pimping out our burger menu with some huge signature burgers based around what people were creating when we had our customisable smashburger station at Ships.
“We will also be opening for lunch – just not straight away – with a BBQ street food menu based on our old menus when we were starting out doing events.
“We’re both very excited to get back into the swing of it all and start barbecuing again. We are going into this with everything we’ve got and we can’t wait to share our dream with everyone.”
