The Preston Western Distributor will link the M55, from a new motorway junction, down to the A583 near Preston Docks.

As the government announced a multi-million funding package to dual the A66 in the North East, Lancashire County Council’s executive director Stephen Young released the pictures.

It shows the work underway on the new road which is due to be complete 2023 and will cost just over £200m.
