Not sure where the new Preston Western Distributor Road is due to go?

Carving its way through the countryside to the west of the city the five mile new route will connect the M55 to the Docks.

Lancashire County Council has produced a fly-through video giving you a birdseye view of the new road.

Landmarks such as the Ashton and Lea golf club, Savick Brook and the Lancaster Canal are included to allow you to get your bearings.

The county council is currently consulting on the proposed route for the new road, which is part of the £430m City Deal.

The consultation, which also covers the East-West Preston Link Road, is to run from Monday 4 January to Friday 12 February and can be taken part in via the county council website.
