A new pizza and beer joint is set to open in what was Booths in Liverpool Road, Penwortham.

1260 Craft and Crust is being opened by friends Wayne Bretherton and Josh Woods.

The industrial-themed space will feature a bar area, VIP snug, and an open kitchen complete with a handcrafted pizza oven.

Wayne, who lives in Grimsargh, said: “I decided to open this new business as I always loved the potential that Penwortham has, and it is a place that’s really starting to thrive. We want to be part of it.

“With Josh as my General Manager, we’re creating a venue centred around our greatest passions – food, drinks and entertainment.

“The concept is more than a bar and restaurant. It’s a social hub where friends and family will laugh, smile and have fun.”

With a planned opening date of 5 December, all cooked food will initially come from the pizza oven.

Wayne said: “As December tends to be very busy, we will keep it simple with pizzas and platters.

“Future developments will include items like hanging kebabs and tapas style dishes. It’s going to be a real celebration of party/sharing food.”
