Preston’s set for a wild and blustery weekend as three separate weather warnings are in force.
From the early hours of Friday Aug 9 the weather a period of heavy rain is expected.
The rain warning, a yellow weather warning, is in force throughout Friday.
The Met Office state: “A and of heavy rain followed by heavy showers or thunderstorms has the potential to bring disruption.”
During Saturday August 10 there’s a thunderstorm and strong winds warning for Preston and Lancashire.
The thunderstorm warning lasts until 6am on Sunday August 11.
Strong winds are expected throughout Saturday.
Here’s your day-by-day breakdown of the Preston weather
Friday August 9
Morning – A wet start expected between 6am and 9am making for a miserable commute. A few glimmers of sunshine from 10am onwards.
Afternoon – At lunchtime reaching highs of 22 degrees and it is sunshine and showers
Evening – For anyone heading to the Plungington Gin Festival, take your umbrella. Showers expected throughout the evening. A mild evening.

Saturday August 10
Morning – A wet start, with a 70 per cent chance of rain but some flickers of sunshine between the showers.
Afternoon – Anyone off to any events, well, take your rain mac and umbrella. The rain continues non-stop. And from 3pm onwards the strong winds arrive, gusts of 45mph expected.
Evening – The wind dies down around 7pm and then from 8pm there’s a lighter chance of rain.
Sunday August 11
Morning – Rain showers to start off with through until around 11am.
Afternoon – A cloudy and overcast afternoon, 17 degrees, but no rain!
Evening – A little bit of sunshine and the weather settles for a short while
Monday August 12
Morning – A bright start, 12 degrees and then some showers from 9am
