Heavy rain and strong winds warning issued for Preston

Preston looks set to be lashed by storms as we head into the weekend.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Friday and Saturday.

Friday (9 August) is set to see heavy rain in the city throughout the day.

A yellow weather warning, the lowest level, has been issued with surface water flooding expected and difficult driving conditions.

During Saturday (10 August) a weather warning is in force for strong winds throughout the day expected to cause travel disruption.

The strong winds are expected during Saturday daytime.
