Met Office updates heavy rain forecast for Tuesday morning

An updated warning of heavy rain has been issued for Preston and Lancashire.

The Met Office is warning of travel disruption during the Tuesday (25 June) morning commute.

Forecasters say there is a small chance of flooding and damage to buildings during the downpours.

Difficult driving conditions are expected due to the rain.

The warning is in force from 12midnight through to 12noon.

A warning for thunderstorms remains in force throughout Monday 24 June.
