Met Office issues Preston and Lancashire thunderstorm warning for Sunday

Preston is set for a stormy end to the week.

The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for Sunday (23 June).

Torrential rain and lightning is expected between 3pm and midnight.

Weather forecasters say there is potential flooding and disruption to travel, depending on the severity of the thunderstorms.

Difficult driving conditions are expected with spray and sudden surface water on the city’s road and motorway network.
