European Parliament election results have come in for Preston and the North West.
The vote works on proportional representation so each voter had one vote and voted for a party.
The North West elects eight Members of European Parliament out of the UK’s 73 MEPs.
Turnout in Preston was 35.1 per cent.
Preston has bucked the national trend where the Brexit Party has been sweeping the board and the Lib Dems are making gains, with Labour winning the largest share of the vote in the city.
