Student flats at a busy Preston crossroads have been shortlisted for an award.

Canterbury Hall in North Road and St George’s Road opened in September last year.

Including 191 apartments, a cinema room, gym and roof terrace they’ve been shortlisted in multiple categories of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors awards.

Developers Fraser Morgan are behind the scheme and it was built by Warden Construction and designed by David Cox Architects.

Managing director of Fraser Morgan Mark Robinson said: “We’re absolutely thrilled our Canterbury Hall development has been recognised in this way.

“This scheme was always about offering something different within the student accommodation sector in Preston – providing not just a place to live, but an inspiring environment that allows students to thrive.

“More than anything these nominations show the quality and craftsmanship that’s gone into creating this sustainable, high-performing building. It’s a credit to our construction partner, architect and wider professional team of consultants for delivering such an outstanding project.”
