Woman cut from car in Buckshaw Village crash

One of the main roads through Buckshaw Village was closed off during Saturday tea-time.

Lancashire Police closed Central Avenue at the roundabout with Main Street.

Two cars collided with one eyewitness telling Blog Preston one of the cars had been travelling in the wrong direction.

A woman was cut free from one of the cars and taken to hospital.

Two ambulances were pictured at the scene.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Leyland to assist.

The crash took place around 4.45pm on Saturday (29 December).
