One of Preston’s park and ride sites has announced Christmas operating times.

Late-night shopping begins in the city this week and the Walton-le-Dale park and ride from the Capitol Centre is putting on later buses.

Stopping at Jacson Street, by the Harris in the city centre, the last bus will be 9pm on the following days:

Wednesday 5, 12 and 19 Dec
Thursday 6, 13 and 20 Dec
Monday 17 Dec
Tuesday 18 Dec
Friday 21 Dec
Saturday 22 Dec

The park and ride costs £1.60 for an adult return ticket and 80p for a child return.

On Christmas Eve, the park and ride is operating a Saturday service with the last bus at 6.23pm.

It’s closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

A Saturday service runs on Thursday 27 Dec, Friday 28 Dec, Saturday 29 Dec, Sunday 30 Dec (last bus at 5.30pm) and New Year’s Eve (last bus at 6.23pm).

Normal service resumes on Wednesday 2 January.
