Capitol Centre Park and Ride

A group of travellers have set up camp on the Capitol Centre’s Park and Ride car park.

Lancashire Police have confirmed they received reports of the group at 10.30am on Monday (3 December).

Police have visited the travellers at Walton-le-Dale and it is understood they will move on in the next few days.

A spokesman for Lancashire County Council said: “We are aware of this matter and we expect that they should be moving today.”

In September a group of travellers moved onto Moor Park before then moving onto Bluebell Way and the former Perry’s site in Blackpool Road before Preston City Council could use eviction procedures.
