A refurbished pub will open its doors near Preston’s university on Saturday evening.

The Vinyl Tap has been taken on by Moorbrook landlord Richard Fisher-Godwin.

The pub, in Adelphi Street, was previously the Hearts of Oak and before that the Variety.

Richard said the pub has a record store theme and plenty of classic vinyl dotted around.

Funk soul band The Templebys are headlining the opening event from 6pm on Saturday (8 September).
