Blackpool Road at Lea reopens following a road traffic accident

Blackpool Road at Lea, in Preston, has been reopened following a road traffic accident.

Preston police initially shut the road going out bound at the junction with Aldfield Avenue.

Lancashire Road Police warned drivers about the closure via Twitter.

They said: “Blackpool road at lea Preston is currently closed out bound at the junction with Aldfield Avenue due to a road traffic collision. Please avoid the area.”

Police say they have now fully reopened the road. On Twitter, they said: “Blackpool road at lea is now fully open. Thank you to everyone who abided by the road closure. For the ones that didn’t and drove straight through the scene. Your summons to Court is now in the post.”
