The next stage in the building of an Aldi and a mini retail park in Fulwood has moved closer.
AdvertisementCouncillors voted in favour of empty land off Oliver’s Place and Eastway being built on.
Cassidy + Ashton had presented a reserved matters planning application for the site near the former Broughton Printers building.
Alongside a 329-space car park a total of eight retail units are due to be created, with an Aldi supermarket understood to be anchoring the scheme.

No objections were received to the scheme.
Director of Cassidy + Ashton Alban Cassidy said: “The scheme is due to commence on site in late summer of this year.
“It has been some years in delivery but we are now excited to be taking this development forward which will provide a much needed facility for the existing and emerging communities of north east Preston.”

It’s known the plans include a gym and a number of drive-in food outlets.
