Teenage girl punched in the face after getting off bus in Fulwood

A teenage girl has been left ‘traumatised’ following an apparent unprovoked attack in Fulwood.

Friends of the family are offering a £5,000 reward if information is given leading to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible.

The 14-year-old got off the bus in Sharoe Green Lane near Sharoe Green Library shortly after 4pm on Friday (2 March).

She was heading towards her grandmothers when a man approached her.

The girl was punched in the face, knocking her unconscious and fracturing her cheekbone.

According to a friend of the family the man is described as white, stocky, bald and in his 40s. He may have been wearing a coat with a fur-trimmed hood.

The man was then seen walking in the direction of the junction with Watling Street Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call Preston Police on 101.
