Preston has been told to brace for another cold snap as temperatures plummet once again.
Dubbed the ‘Beast from the East II’ the city is to shiver from Friday night onwards.
Snow during Thursday (8 March) brought widespread travel disruption to South Ribble as the conditions worsened faster than expected and gritting crews were unable to keep up with treating the roads.
Shelters for the homeless in the city are beginning to stock up in preparation for the latest fall in temperatures.
Anyone who sees someone sleeping rough can phone the Foxton Centre on 01772555925.
