As temperatures fall to minus four in Preston during Tuesday night – many have been asking how they can help the homeless.
The Foxton Centre is open as an emergency refuge for those who are homeless.
Preston City Council has no official shelter so partners with the homeless shelter in Knowsley Street.

A spokesman for the Foxton Centre said they are expecting around 18 rough sleepers to take shelter during Tuesday night and throughout the rest of the week.
Latest weather forecasts show temperatures barely getting above freezing until the weekend.
Here’s what the Foxton Centre needs:
– breakfast items, cereals, bread and milk
– Cordials
– Instant Coffee
