One of Preston’s famous pubs is closing its doors for good.
The Dog and Partridge in Friargate, owned by Pub Punch company, will not be reopening after its closing night on December 31.
The pub recently underwent a major refurbishment, however despite this, the famous pub will still be closing down.

A spokesperson for the Dog and Partridge pub said:
“Sunday 31 December will be our last night and we will not be reopening after then.
“We are looking for someone else to step in and take over.
“We are shutting because recently the pub hasn’t been making any money, and so we have to close.”
The pub is located in a prime position in the city centre, on one of the main shopping streets in Preston, and is in close proximity to UCLan.
It has always served food, drink, and an array of live music entertainment on a weekly basis.
The Dog and Partridge pub is now seeking a new landlord or landlady to come forward and take over the premises.
Punch Pub is looking for a dynamic operator to take on the pub and live music venue.
Anyone interested in taking on the pub should visit the Punch Pub website for more details.
