Major roadworks are about to begin on the M55 between Preston and Blackpool.
Highways England is warning motorists to expect delays during the reurfacing work.
A lane is to be shut for a fortnight between junction 1 (Broughton roundabout) and junction 3 (Kirkham).
Work begins on Monday (4 December).

An overnight closure of the westbound motorway between Junction 3 is planned from 8pm on the Monday until 6am on Tuesday. A signed diversion will be in place.
Between Tuesday (5 December) to Sunday 10 December lane one and lane two will close from 8pm to 6am.
From Wednesday 13 December to Monday 18 December the M55 will be shut between juntion 1 and 3 from 8pm to 6am.
