CCTV picture released after security guard racially abused in Tesco

Police have launched a hunt to trace a woman after a security guard was racially abused in Lea.

Officers were called to the Tesco Express in Blackpool Road on Wednesday 19 July.

A woman became involved in a verbal altercation with a member of staff and was asked to leave by security.

Preston Police say the security guard was racially abused before the woman made off from the scene.

PC Janette Cahill said: “We are investigating a report of racial abuse.

“A male security guard has been verbally abused and we need to find the person responsible.

“Following enquiries we would be keen to speak to this woman in connection with the offence.

“If you recognise her, please contact police immediately.”
