A takeaway destroyed by a fire in Preston city centre has now officially reopened.

Sandos on the corner of Manchester Road and Church Street has a new premises – just further up Church Street towards Church Row.

In May last year flames billowed from the building and part of the roof collapsed.

The old building remains fenced off with no sign of demolition or renovation at present.

Serving Portuguese chicken and kebabs the takeaway was popular with those on the way home from a night out.

The loss of Sandos has been mourned by Prestonians over the last year and they will no doubt be happy to see the eatery reopen.
