The organisers of Preston’s first Comic Con to be held at the Guild Hall on Saturday 25 October 2014, have released details of further guests on the day.

Newly announced is actor Norman Lovett, best known for playing Holly in Red Dwarf.

Lovett is an English stand-up comedian and actor, and played Holly during the first, second, seventh and eighth series of the classic sci-fi show.

Also agreed to appear at the Comic Con is Tim Rose.

Rose an performer and puppeteer and has been involved in the films Labyrinth, Howard the Duck and most recently Wizards vs Aliens on BBC TV, playing the Nekross King.

He famously played Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars Return of the Jedi (famous for the ‘it’s a Trap’ catchphrase). Tim gained his experience working with the legendary Jim Henson during filming on The Dark Crystal.

Preston Comic Con is one part of a series of sci-fi events in Preston throughout the Autumn.
