What the organisers are saying
Councillor Matthew Farnworth, South Ribble Borough Council Cabinet Member (Culture, Community Wealth Building and Licensing), said: “We’re delighted that South Ribble Live is back in Penwortham and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoying themselves and supporting local performers and venues.
“There are some amazing performances lined up, from rock, folk and country music to indie and pop, there’s something for all musical tastes to enjoy. Don’t miss out, get your wristbands for this fabulous event.”

Nigel Stewart from The Creative Network said: “It’s like Glastonbury without the mud! But much more than that, this is the people’s festival: run by the people, for the people, with acts from our area.”
Road closure
From 6pm to midnight on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 May, a road closure will be in place on Liverpool Road from the junction at Crookings Lane to the junction at Cop Lane/Priory Lane. Suitable diversions will be in place.
Bus service
Buses will not be operating on the closed section of Liverpool Road during the time of the road closure and will follow the diversion route down the bypass on the A59 John Horrocks Way. Bus users will still be able to catch the bus from outside Tesco on Liverpool Road and also at Howick on the A59 at the other side of the road closure.
