Lancashire Constabulary’s South Division has welcomed a new superintendent.
Scott Boast, the new operations manager for Preston, has now received overall responsibility for Neighbourhood, Response and Response Investigations teams.
Joining Lancashire Constabulary police force in 2004, he has worked in East Lancashire and Blackburn and worked his way through the ranks.
In 2023, following a year as Chief Inspector, Superintendent Boast moved to the South Division, for response policing in Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.
Speaking about his new role as Operations Manager for Preston, Superintendent Boast said: “I am really pleased to be returning to Preston, and I am excited about building on the great work already underway with our communities and partners.
“My passion for policing is rooted in a belief that everything starts from speaking with and listening to local residents and ensuring that our policing activity is directly linked to tackling the issues which matter most to them
“I would encourage all residents, if they haven’t already done so, to complete the Lancashire Talking survey and tell us about the issues concerning them about where they live so that we can direct our resources appropriately and ensure that Preston is a safe place for those to live and visit.”
