A BMW was seized by police after the driver was caught travelling more than double the speed limit.

Police seized the vehicle and reported the driver for multiple offences after the car was caught travelling 74mph in a 30mph part of Preston.

The incident was reported by police at around 12.30am this morning (5 March).

A spokesperson for police said: “The vehicle on the back of the recovery truck was stopped and seized in Preston after deciding it was a good idea to travel at 74mph in a 30mph zone.

“Driver reported for multiple offences!”
