Roadworks which were lead to delays of more than an hour-and-a-half on the outskirts of Preston have been adjusted.
Blog Preston reported earlier this week how motorists and bus passengers were left in bumper-to-bumper traffic due to works at Longridge Road near the Roman Way Industrial Estate.
These were compounded by further works at Goosnargh and Broughton with some motorists complaining of usual journeys of 30 minutes taking up to two hours in some extreme cases.

The Longridge Road works, which are to lay a new electrical cable for a new factory at the Roman Way industrial estate, have been visited by Lancashire County Council’s highways department.
Blog Preston understands the contractor Harlaxton has reduced the length of road needed for the works and been told by the county council to better manage the traffic.
Bluebell Way at Fulwood and Preston Road at Grimsargh had come to gridlock throughout the early part of this week as a result of the works which began on Monday.
Motorists have reported an improved situation during Thursday and Friday as the new measures were put in place.
A spokesperson for the county council confirmed the works were still ongoing 7am to 7pm each day.
Work is due to continue until mid-February before then moving into Roman Way itself.
