A person died in an incident at a railway station at the weekend, police have confirmed.
British Transport Police were called to Leyland Railway Station at around 10.20pm on Saturday (30 November) after reports of a casualty on tracks.
The person was confirmed dead at the scene and the incident is not being treated as suspicious, police said.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police told Blog Preston: “We were called to Leyland station at around 10.20pm on Saturday 30 November following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Officers attended along with paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
A number of services between Preston and Manchester, and those heading on from Preston, were delayed or cancelled as a result of investigations surrounding the incident.
Those caught up in the delays reported not getting home until after 4am on Sunday morning.
