A collision between a car and a pedestrian was reported to police after witnesses posted about the incident on social media.
Police received a report on Sunday (17 November) about the incident on Saturday evening (16 November) after the driver herself contacted them in response to seeing a post on a Facebook group.
The anonymous post alleged that the driver collided with the pedestrian, a male, on Layton Road, close to Blackpool Road, and left the scene without offering help. The incident happened at around 8.20pm.
