Chorley gridlock eased as Preston Road re-opens after crash

There were long delays through the centre of Chorley due to a crash on the A6.

A crash on the stretch of Preston Road from the Shell garage and Starbucks down towards the B&Q roundabout closed the road.

The crash took place shortly before 2pm on Saturday (16 November).

A police spokesperson said: “We anticipate the road will be closed for some time whilst we make sure the road is safe.”

Chorley Police reopened the road around 3.45pm and traffic has now returned to normal.
