Search underway for 77-year-old missing in heatwave

A search is underway for a man missing from Hoghton in the hot weather.

Trevor Maddock, 77, is missing and has links to Higher Walton, Bamber Bridge and Cuerden Valley Park.

Update: Police say Trevor was found safe and well during Wednesday evening and thanked the public for sharing the appeal

A police helicopter was out on Wednesday (26 June) afternoon above Gregson Lane and Hoghton.

Police said that Trevor may appear to be confused.

A spokesperson for police said: “We are asking for your help to find Trevor Maddock, 77, who is missing from Hoghton. Trevor has links to Higher Walton, Bamber Bridge and Cuerden Valley Park.

“He may appear to be confused.”
