‘Prolific’ Penwortham shoplifter who targeted Booths is jailed

A man who stole £500 worth of items from a Penwortham supermarket has been jailed.

Paul Allen, described as ‘prolific’ by South Ribble Police, pleaded guilty to six counts of shoplifting.

The 48-year-old, of Meadowbank, targeted the Booths store in Millbrook Way multiple times between January and March this year.

Allen appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court on 9 May and was sentenced to six months in prison.
