Leyland’s Music In The Park festival to support St Catherine’s Hospice

St Catherine’s Hospice has been selected as a charity partner for this year’s Music In The Park festival.

The outdoor festival, on 26 May will be at Worden Park in Leyland and promises an ‘unforgettable day’ of live music, entertainment and community spirit.

Last year the event attracted over 3,000 visitors with this year’s festival set to be even bigger with a lineup of artists including Billy Ocean, Jason Donovan and Heather Small.

St Catherine’s Hospice provides essential care and support to adults in South Ribble and Preston who are living with life-shortening conditions.

Jennifer Mullin, Director of Communities and Leisure at South Ribble Council said: “We are delighted to partner with St Catherine’s Hospice for this year’s Music in The Park. 

“The work they do to care for patients and families who are affected by life-shortening conditions is incredible, and to have them as our charity partner is testament to the amazing work they do across the borough”.

Festival goers can support the charity by visiting their stand to purchase festival merchandise and memorabilia as well as donating money to support their work.

Emma Jacovelli, Head of Community Engagement at St Catherine’s, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be involved in this year’s Music in the Park. It’s such a well-loved and popular event and we’re really looking forward to meeting supporters on the day. 

“We’ll be joining in the fun by selling festival merchandise, with funds raised going directly towards the care and support provided by our charity at the hospice and in people’s own homes”.
