South Ribble Borough Council has confirmed a popular live event will go ahead again this year.
Penwortham Live will be back on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 May, while Longton Live will take place on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July.
This year’s Penwortham Live will also include Middleforth venues for the first time.
The news comes after concerns from locals that the event wouldn’t go ahead because the council was not responding to their questions.

Councillor Paul Foster, Leader of South Ribble Borough Council, said: “South Ribble’s live music events have been enjoyed by many for years and I’m so pleased that we can expand the popular event this year.
“Events like this are brilliant for our local businesses and performers and each year we see residents and visitors to the areas alike enjoying incredible weekends of entertainment.”
The Council works in partnership with Creative Network to deliver the live events and venues and performers are now being sought to be involved in the two weekends.
Penwortham Live is calling for artists, bands, singers, dancers and dramatic performers to get involved.
Anyone interested in taking part this year can contact the council on events@southribble.gov.uk or visit Penwortham Live on social media.
