A young motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after a ‘high impact’ fall near Fishwick.
North West Ambulance Service and Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were called on Sunday evening after the incident. With the mountain rescue team called in, it is unlikely the incident took place on a main road with easy access.
The casualty was stretchered by the mountain rescue team to a nearby ambulance and taken to hospital. The incident happened on Sunday (February 18) evening.

A spokesperson for Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team said: “Our assistance was requested on Sunday evening to a motorcyclist who had suffered a high impact fall near Fishwick.
“The casualty was given pain relief and transferred onto one of our Vacuum Mattresses to immobilise and protect his spine. Team members then stretchered the young man to the ambulance for transfer to hospital.”
