Maria Rogers, learning and development manager at Leyland Trucks, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for us to display our award-winning apprenticeship scheme.
“In an industry where skills gaps present a risk to progress, and where progress relies upon diversity of thought and experience, it’s vital that we continue to attract and retain talented people.
“Our apprentices are crucial to the success of our business, and our scheme supports them in successful, fulfilling careers.
“Our apprentices were proud to showcase their skills and experiences.
“Hearing the MPs speak about the importance of apprentices to our industry and economy was inspiring for all involved, particularly as we are in the midst of recruitment for our 28 new apprentices.”
