Donations to the charity help provide education, shelter, food and healthcare in Rwanda.

The group previously raised funds by selling at their charity shop on Syke Street in Preston, however this closed permanently after the pandemic.

Despite this, the charity is still dedicated to raising funds, last month they were able to send £2000 to each of their four groups – in Kigali, Cyangugu, Gikongoro and Nyundo.

Some members of the trust visited Rwanda in 2017, where they were able to see how their donations and efforts helped.

Veronica Sanders, one member of the trust said: “While we were there we presented some people with goats.

“They are precious in Rwanda as they fertilise the ground, provide milk, then when the goat dies they can eat it. They only cost £30. One lady was skipping, she was so happy.

“It makes you feel as though it is all worthwhile. This charity really does make a difference.”

Claire Spicer, founder Joe Bamber’s youngest daughter, said: “Without the passion and dedication of the trustee members and volunteers none of this would happen.

“The tabletop sale is a really good example of their hard work.”
