A man was assaulted on his own driveway by what is believed to be a complete stranger just before Christmas in Garstang.

The assault took place on December 23 at 12.50am on Bonds Lane. After the assault, the man left the scene in the direction of Castle Lane.

A third party then checked on the victim’s welfare. Police have identified this man as a key witness they wish to speak to.
