A man carrying cash and jewellery was reportedly threatened with a gun in an incident on Friday evening (December 8).
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary were called to Manchester Road, near the junction for St Austin’s Road, close to Newman College, to reports a man had been threatened and robbed at gunpoint. The incident reportedly happened at around 7pm.
Police are now appealing for information, footage or witnesses that might help with their investigation.

A spokesperson for police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following a report of a robbery.
“We were called to Manchester Road, at the junction of St. Austin’s Road, Preston at around 7pm on Friday, December 8 to a report of a man being threatened with a suspected firearm and having cash and jewellery taken from him.
“If you witnessed this, or have dashcam or CCTV between 6:40pm and 7pm of the area, please get in contact on 101 or email 5491@lancashire.police.uk quoting log 1163 of Friday, December 8.”
