Intact Community Centre receives vital grant to help some of city’s most vulnerable

The Intact Community Centre in Ingol has received more than £60,000 in funding.

The centre has been given £61,108 from the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund by The
National Lottery Community Fund.

This fund is part of the Government’s initiative to address the cost of living crisis and aims to provide critical support to charities and community organisations.

Intact will use the money to sustain and expand essential services for vulnerable families.

In particular it will go towards sustaining the capacity of the centre’s food pantry and hot meals service.

The funding will allow for the implementation of an additional pantry day, including a special Bumper Christmas Pantry.

Denise Hartley MBE, at Intact said: “Thanks to the generous support from the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund, Intact is well-positioned to not only meet the rising demand for our services but also to enhance our support programmes.

“This funding is a testament to the belief that, together, we can create positive change in the lives of vulnerable families in our community.”
