Critically acclaimed writer and performer Kevin P. Gilday is retuning to Preston with a new show.
Gilday (Suffering from Scottishness, Sonnet Youth) is known for taking a verbal sledgehammer to lazy stereotypes and attempting to deconstruct what it really means to be ‘working-class’ in modern Britain.
His show, Spam Valley, is an autobiographical monologue that explores what happens when a working-class upbringing gives way to a middle-class career path.

Organiser Garry Cook said: “Blending theatre, stand-up and contemporary spoken word, Gilday delves into his own Glaswegian upbringing to chart his journey, from Spam Valley to the stage, with trademark wit and delivery.
“Spam Valley is politically charged theatre at its best.”
Support for this gig comes from The Chubby Northerner and Heather Biggs.
Spam Valley in at The Ferret on Wednesday 4 October at 8pm. Tickets are available from Skiddle.
