Preston’s mobile venue has set up in the car park at one of the city’s supermarkets.

The MET is in position at Morrisons in Blackpool Road in Deepdale and Ribbleton.

Offering dozens of free events here’s what’s being put on at the MET (Mobile Event Tent) for people to see and take part in over the coming weeks.

Unless stated there’s no booking required for these events and they are free to attend.

Monday 10 July
5pm-6pm: Dance Class for ages 3-10
6.30pm-8pm: Dance Class for ages 11-18
Being put on by Spectrum Association from the city’s Caribbean Carnival

Tuesday 11 July
10am-12noon: Grow and Sow, learn how to grow own vegetables
1pm-2.30pm: Creative crafts

Thu 13 July
7.30pm: Labyrinth (U) – booking required

Fri 14 July
7pm-10pm: ABBA Tribute – booking required

Sat 15 July
8pm: A Nightmare On Elm Street (18) – booking required

Mon 17 July
5pm-6pm: Dance class for ages 3-10 years
6.30pm-8pm: Dance class for ages 11-18 years

Tue 18 July
10am-12noon: Grow and sow
12.30pm-2.30pm: Confectionary making, aged 16+

Thu 20 July
12noon-4pm: Youth Influence – Making Choices, a chance for debate and public speaking for youngsters. Age 11+.
7pm-10pm: YOUth Stories, creative drama workshop. Age 11+

Mon 24 July
5pm-6pm: Dance class for ages 3-10 years
6.30pm-8pm: Dance class for ages 11-18

Tue 25 July
10am-12noon: Grow and sow
12.30pm-2.30pm: Cake decorating. Booking required.

Thu 27 July
11am-5pm: #UsGirlsCan, ageds 11-18 tears, a space for girls to come together and build confidence and have some fun with friends. Booking required.
5pm-7pm: Fishwick and St Matthews Big Local Partnership Meeting. All residents welcome.

Fri 28 July
5pm-10pm: Dry Rave, for ages 18+ a chance for those in recovery to take part in a substance free activity

Sat 29 July
12noon-2.30pm: Family Fun Day, face painters, arts and crafts, tombola and more.
7pm-10pm: UB40 tribute band, booking required

Mon 31 July
1pm-2.30pm: Family cake decorating. Booking required.
