The sun shone on a fun-filled Preston Caribbean Carnival this weekend.
AdvertisementOn Saturday (17 May), Moor Park was filled with the sound of Roots Reggae, Reggae Dance Hall, Afro Beats, RnB and Soul for the One Park Living Legends Music Festival, a fundraiser for the Carnival.
Sunday (28 May) saw a Caribbean-themed family fun day at the park, with live stage performances, food and craft stalls, and plenty of children’s activities.
A vibrant procession weaved along the nearby streets of Moor Park Avenue, Deepdale Road, St George’s Road and Garstang Road.
Onlookers lined the way, dancing to the rhythms of the Caribbean and marvelling at the incredible costumes on display.
Local photographer Mark McLoughlin was on hand to capture the colourful procession. To see more images, visit the Mark McLoughlin Photo website.
