Snow and ice warning for Preston

A snow and ice warning has been issued for northern parts of the country including Preston.

The yellow warning says rain, sleet and snow followed by ice is likely to hit from 5pm tomorrow (Monday 13 March) until 10am the following day.

The Met Office says to expect:

Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
