A Preston charity event has been confirmed to raise money for local good causes.

The Mayor of Preston, Councillor Neil Darby, has launched the Mayor of Preston’s Charity Coronation Ball to be held on Saturday 29 April at the University of Central Lancashire.

The event includes a three-course dinner, with a variety of performances by local entertainers and will raise money for this year’s Mayoral charities, the Intact Centre and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity.

Councillor Neil Darby said: “As has been the tradition for many years, I as Mayor of Preston will be hosting the annual Mayor’s Charitable Ball. This year, as the nation welcomes a new King, it is titled the Coronation Ball.

Tickets are available for £45, or tables of ten can be booked for £400. The Ball Reception will take place from 7pm in the Foster Building.
